    Trip itinerary

The chill reggae beats are blasting out your headphones as you get yourself pumped for your upcoming adventure. Your bags are all packed and already at the door. It's time to head out! After what feels like no time, you're in Jamaica and pick up your hire car, then with the wind in your hair, you're off to Kingston!

When you arrive in the capital, you speed through the city with the radio turned up and admire the colourful murals on backgrounds of green, yellow and red that shine at you from everywhere – you love it here. One of the absolute must-sees is 41 Fleet Street, where one work of art follows the next on the walls of the surrounding buildings. You simply have to see it! Stop off at one of the many cook shops and round off the evening with a Jamaican patty and banana bread – delicious!

A cup of the famous Blue Mountain coffee puts you in a positive Jamaican mood for what lies ahead. Feeling great and freshly caffeinated, you set off to explore the city. To the unending sound of chill Afro-Caribbean beats, you follow the inviting tumult of the crowd and admire the ubiquitous graffiti. On the trail of Captain Morgan, you make your way to Port Royal, the former pirate stronghold, and can maybe even still find a bottle of rum among the half-sunken buildings. On to the next must-see: the Bob Marley Museum (optional, payable on site)! The home of the Reggae King is filled to the rafters with records and reminders of his legacy. While admiring his very personal treasures, you can hear Marley singing softly: 'Hey Mr Music, sure sound good to me.' You think so too, and so you wander past picture galleries and even more records while listening to the relaxing tunes. It sweet fi talk – nice to have met Bob!

You're overwhelmed by your longing for your next road trip, so you jump in your hire car and put on some chill Jimmy Cliff jams. Our hot tip: take the inland route and marvel as the imposing Blue Mountains stretch out before you. Just like Bob Marley, ride until the road feels rocky and you find yourself saying 'it sure feels good to me!'

When you arrive in Port Antonio, you make yourself comfortable in your new home away from home. Welcome to the All Nations Guesthouse! Here, the dream of peaceful coexistence comes true – One Love. Away from the typical tourist accommodation, you stay next door to locals and travellers from all over the world and in doing so, help to gradually build a community without borders, where charity and environmental awareness are paramount, true to the Jamaican motto, 'out of many, one people'. Wouldn't that be nice? The evening is still young, so you make your way to Winnifred Beach to cool off and wonder if it could possibly get any better.

Did you know that the Blue Lagoon lies hidden between Frenchman's Cove and Winnifred Beach? There's a good reason why it's been the setting for films such as 'Cocktail' with Tom Cruise, so you enjoy a quick dive into the turquoise water – and of course, don't forget to snap a pic or two! After cooling off, it's time for the next must-see. You make your way through the Jamaican jungle to the west of Port Antonio. Your destination: the mystical Somerset Falls! Once there, you can hunt for hidden grottos or simply enjoy the water – so awesome! As sweet as taking it easy may be, you really want to experience something unique. So, you do it the Jamaican way with a drive through the Blue Mountains. Where you go is all up to you, because here, one thing's clear: the journey is the destination! You enjoy the freedom of the roads and make the occasional stop at small bars and restaurants – just the road, the locals and you!
